Forward Thinking Education was formed to meet the needs of schools and education charities. This has ranged from pre-opening project management and post opening operational effectiveness to educational leadership and governance development. Clients have included free schools, educational charities and multi-academy trusts. Forward Thinking Education was born out of a passion for the Education Sector and to provide organisations with a responsive and flexible solution to meet their ever changing needs.
Forward Thinking Education was formed by Joe Howlett. Joe is a qualified teacher and headteacher with extensive experience of the education sector, leading at both Secondary, Post 16 and Primary. In addition, he has worked in management consultancy and for the education department of an environmental charity. He helped found an outstanding primary school and currently supports it in the role of Chief Operating Officer. He has been involved in all aspects of the school. This includes setting up its temporary accomodation, leading the operations teams and responsibility for the school's £1.8 million budget. He is currently managing the primary school's multi million-pound building programme for its permanent site. He continues to work closely with a network of schools supporting them in operational improvement. Joe is available up to 3 days per week to support new projects and is keen to explore opportunities that have a wider impact on the education sector.
